FAQ: Remedial Course

1. Question: What are the Required Documents I will need for the Remedial Course & Clinical?
Answer: The documents you will need are listed below this page. Please scroll down to see. Send ALL documents as email attachment, scanned in PDF format to assist@rophem.com

2. Question: When do I need to submit all my clinical documents to the school?
Answer: All required documents are due 2 weeks before clinical group start date
PLEASE don’t SCAN your documents sideways or upside down. Thank you!

3. Question: How do I change my clinical dates? What are the dates for next groups?
Answer: Complete the Registration form again to select another group from available dates.

4. Question: Do I need liability insurance for clinical training?
Answer: Yes. Liability Insurance is $40.00 (due 10 days before start date) 
Click HERE to Pay the Liability Insurance Fee. Or contact us to pay via Zelle or Cashapp.  
Liability insurance is NOT health insurance, and it’s not car insurance.

5. Question: Do I need a background check?
Answer: Yes. You can use the ORI # in the Remedial Docs (Adobe)

Or if you don’t live in Florida, you can pay $95 (Zelle/CashApp).
After you pay $95, we will send you BGS Form via Adobe.

6. Question: Do I need background check if I already did one 1 or 5 years ago?
Answer: Only the company that asked you to do a background check can have access to it.
You need to do another one, using the ORI number we provided in the ADOBE documents.

7. Question: How do I submit my documents?
Answer: Scan ALL documents in PDF format; NOT Pictures please.

8. Question: Can a Registered Nurse sign my Physical Exam form?
Answer: No. Only advanced providers can sign the physical exam (e.g. MD, APRN, PA)

9. Question: Do I need clinical uniform? What is the color?
Answer: Yes. Clinical Uniform is White Scrub Top & Black Scrub Pants. 
Closed toe shoes, color doesn’t matter. 

10. Question: Is the clinical training on campus?
Answer: Campus address is not the same as clinical facility address, we will provide clinical facility address before start date. 

11. Question: What if I need to travel to attend the clinical training?
Answer: We recommend you use Tampa International Airport.

12. Question: When will I get the facility address?
Answer: once you submit your documents, we will provide the facility address (it may be better to submit them before the due date). 

13. Question: How can I find hotels to stay during the clinical training?
Answer: we will provide the facility address to you once you submit required documents. Then you can use google hotel finders once you place the address provided to you on google search, click on Hotels, then go through the list to find hotel close to the clinical training facility.

14. Question: How about simulation case studies and when do I complete them?
Answer: Clinical Simulations are part of the 96 hours required by the BON for Remedial Clinical. Simulation assignments will be added for you during the week of the face to face clinical training. 

15. Question: What is the process to get my completion letter when I finish the course?
Answer: When you complete all assigned tasks. Submit the form at the end of the simulations folder. We will check to confirm you complete all tasks, then a Completion letter will be sent to the BON you provided on the registration form.

16. Question: When should I do my drug test?
Answer: You can do your drug test within one month before your clinical start date
NOTE: We do NOT have a barcode or an agreement with any Laboratory company.
Please follow the instructions provided before you go to any lab to avoid wasting time.
When the test is completed, you will receive the result from the lab company, download it, and send it to us in PDF format.

17. Question: If you change your mind and you would like to find your own clinical training facility. Follow these steps: Remedial Clinical Preceptor Policy (Student Arrangement)

  • You will need to find a Registered Nurse with a FL active license will to be your preceptor.
  • Discuss with the facility to request an agreement between them and our organization, Rophem.
  • Contact us to let us know you found the RN & the facility has agreed to sign an agreement.
  • Submit ALL clinical requirements, as requested, see below.
  • Contact us to request necessary forms.

18. Question: What are the Required Documents I will need for the Remedial Course & Clinical?
Answer: Here are the documents you will need:

  1. Copy of your driver license or government issued ID
  2. Last 4 of your SSN (Enter this on the Enrollment agreement)
  3. ROPHEM-PHYSICAL-EXAM (signed by MD, PA, or APRN)
    • Vaccines: HEP B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, TB Screening, Flu shot (during flu season)
      • Titers are acceptable for Hep B, MMR, and Varicella. Tdap shot within 10 years, not titer.
  4. COVID-19 Vaccine Card
  5. Drug test result – (Not Quick Test and Not dipstick) 
  6. FDLE Background Check (instructions provided in the documents sent via adobe).
    • ORI number in the Enrollment Agreement (in Adobe docs)
    • Or pay $95.00 – if you are out of FL
  7. Current HEALTHCARE BLS CPR Card (Red Cross or AHA) (NOT HEARTSAVER)
  8. COVID-19 Vaccine Card
